Originating in Mexico, this plant was imported in Sicily by the Spaniards in the XV century DC, and has found in the Mediterranean, the ideal climate. The Sicilian extra prickly pear jam is produced with 100% fresh fruit. It has a dark, compact, pulpy colour and a fruity aroma. The taste is intense and persistent. Pair with grilled meat or enjoy as a dip for tortillas and nachos with some extra bite. Ingredients: 60% prickly pears, 40% caster sugar, fruit pectin, lemon juice. GMOs-free, additive-free, preservative-free.
